Sassy Pit Bull Terrier Mix Mint Hill, NC

Sassy is approximately a 7 year old pitbull mix weighing about 60lbs. She is fully vaccinated and now looking for her forever family. She's been with her foster mom and trainer Lilly now for 9 months. Can you believe she's had zero applications?

Sassy loves people and loves to be close by and be pet. She's loved to cuddle up on the couch or on her dog bed. She is easily entertained with bully sticks, benebones, and toys. She loves to sunbathe in the backyard and lay where ever the sun hits and will gladly accept a belly rub while doing so. She is crate trained, house trained, and sleeps quietly in the crate any time needed. She rides well in the car in a car kennel.

She has a goofy personality with lots of silly behavior that will keep you laughing all day. She has done well with all the dogs she has met and been with.
She loves meal times and will come in from outside doing her "bunny hops". Look out for her classic "sassy" lip smack. She is very gentle when taking treats and knows most basic commands. She's doing well with bath time and grooming. She loves going for car rides and taking walks to sniff all the new smells. Car rides and walks are definitely high on her list of favorite things (besides snacks). She is also working on other commands like place, here, heel and wait. She does well passing other dogs and gets along well with other dogs in the house.
Sassy has high prey drive for small critters like rabbits or wildlife, so she would do best in a home with no cats and at least a 5 foot fence.

While Sassy hasn't spent much 1 on 1 time with kids, her friendly nature suggests she would be good with them. She has done well passing play grounds and athletic fields.
