Sasha Siberian Husky Leavenworth, KS

In early April we heard about 2 dogs who were dumped in a rural area that needed help. They were heartworm positive and one was pregnant. Once we got them rescued and in foster, the day after, Coco gave birth to 12! very healthy puppies, who have all been spoken for as of now. Sasha then became "Auntie Sasha"

Sasha is quite the character here at the shelter but we love her! She does have her quirks and is going to take quite a bit of obedience to be the best pup possible! Sasha is an energetic pup who is ready for all the best adventures with her favorite people in the world. What's the ideal home for Sasha? We've discussed it and we like to imagine Sasha in a home, maybe an active couple with no kids (or older kids, maybe out of the house) who would take her on all the adventures, walks, car rides and she is just their baby. Because she is not good with cats, she would rather not share her space with another dog, and young kids , or lots of excitement and chaos tends to agitate her, especially when she's resting. She can be an escape artist and has a bad habit of grabbing things off the ground. All things her people (and that we are currently working on) will need to work on to help keep her safe. Sasha has a lot of people who adore her because she is truly a fun, loving and such a goofy pup. We hope she can find her forever family where she can be their baby and enjoy life, just as she deserves.
