Meet Sandy

Sandy
6 months old, female, Border Collie/Akbash mix

Meet Sandy! She made her way to us from the Rock Springs Animal Shelter where she ended up after being found alone in the desert and missing the bottom part of her right rear leg. Sandy is sweet, gentle and shy and thanks to her wonderful fosters she is coming out of her shell and learning that people love her. Thank you to the amazing team at Jackson Animal Hospital for getting her in and amputating her leg so that she can get started on this next chapter of life! And a big thank you to the Nightingale Fund for allowing us to help dogs like Sandy who have expensive medical needs! This cutie tripod is going to make a wonderful pet for a lucky family! The Rock Springs Shelter even did her DNA test and found out that she is 52% Border Collie, 30% Akbash, 13% Great Pyrenees and 5% Anatolian Shepherd. We can't wait to see her grow and thrive!

THE AAC IS OPEN BY APPOINTMENT ONLY!

To set up a meet and greet, please fill out a dog adoption application ASAP or if you have already submitted one with us, call/email to put your name in line. We will form a line like usual based on who has an active and approved application in. We will go through our line to set up a private meet and greet for potential adopters to foster. 307-739-1881 adopt@animaladoptioncenter.org

Please note, Animal Adoption Center cannot guarantee the breed, composition or ages of our dogs as we usually have no history prior to them entering the rescue. We make every effort to ensure the dogs are healthy. Please know that our intention is to insure long lasting committed homes for the animals at the AAC. If we feel that an animal and a potential owner are not a good fit we reserve the right to refuse adoption.
