About SAndy ( Mei Mei ):

Meet Sandy (in Taiwan they called me Mei Mei which means little sister)!
Sandy (Mei Mei) is a 5 month old Formosan Mountain Dog mix, with gorgeous faun and white coat, and beautiful dark eyes.
Sandy absolutely loves food - breakfast, lunch, dinner! She is so food motivated, it will be a breeze to teach her new things. She already knows how to sit nicely for her food or for treats, and gently shake hands with new people that she meets.

Once she is comfortable with you, she is very sweet and cuddly, very affectionate, never aggressive. Once out of her shell, Sandy is quite playful and energetic. She loves to play, and would prefer to be in a home where she is never left alone for too long (never more than 6 hours), and preferably with another dog to play with, one who is not too intense/overbearing.

Sandy is crate trained, and will sleep all night in her crate with no issues. Sometimes if she is not ready for play to be over, she may cry for a few seconds when you close the door, but most of the time she is ready to go to bed and settles very quickly.

Sandy is fairly quiet, but will occasionally bark a little if a stranger surprises her at the front door. And sometimes she can be a little "vocal" when she gets worked up while playing (she is a puppy, after all!). But will quiet down quickly when shushed.

She has a medium to high energy level, and will benefit from long walks and long periods of play. Sandy can sometimes jump a little when very excited, especially when the treats come out. She will be a great running and hiking companion!

Also great with kids as long as they are calm and pet gently and respectful. She is very calm with kids and will warm up to kids quickly if they have her favorite treats (which is anything edible!).

Sandy is very clever as well as food motivated, and will new tricks and behaviors very quickly with treats. She know to leave dogs alone when they are not interested to play, and knows to only chew/play with dog toys. Also, she is pee pad trained (only goes to the bathroom on pee pads at home), but is 90% potty trained to go outside, and will generally wait until she goes for a walk to pee/poop. Sandy loves walks, and walks very well on leash!

From Sandy ( Mei Mei )
Hi! I'm Sandy (in Taiwan they called me Mei Mei which means little sister).
I am 5 months old Formosan Mountain Dog mix, with gorgeous faun and white coat, and beautiful dark eyes.
When I first meet people I don't know, I can be shy - unless you are patient with me, and have treats - then I warm up to you in no time!
I absolutely love food - breakfast, lunch, dinner! I'm so food motivated, it will be a breeze to teach me new things! I already know how to sit nicely for a treat, and shake hands with new people that I meet too.

Once I am comfortable with you, I am very sweet and cuddly, very affectionate, never aggressive, and best of all - I am a big time tail wager! I do get lonely and love to play, so I would prefer to be in a home where I will never be left alone for too long (never more than 6 hours), and would prefer to live with another dog who is not too intense/overbearing. Currently, my favorite thing is to play with my foster sisters after we come home from our walk!

I am also crate trained, and will sleep all night in my crate with no issues. Sometimes if I'm not ready for the play to be over, I might cry for a few seconds when you close the door, but then I settle very quickly.

Generally I am fairly quiet, but will occasionally bark a little if someone surprises me at the door. Or if I get a little too worked up while playing, I can be a little "vocal" (I am a puppy, after all!). But, I can quiet down quickly when shushed.

I have a medium to high level of energy, and can sometimes jump a lot when I'm really excited. I think I might be a good runner and hiker soon... I'm still in training!

I'm great with kids as long as they are calm and pet me gently, and treat me with respect. I will warm up to kids especially if they have my favourite treats (which is anything edible!). I am still learning to grab treats nicely, my goal is to become very "ladylike" but sometimes it's hard when I'm excited.

Also, my foster family noticed very quickly how clever I am. I learn new things quickly, I know when my foster sisters don't want to play and I leave them alone. I also know to only chew/play with my dog toys. Also, I'm pee pad trained (I only go to the bathroom on pee pads at home), but I am 90% potty trained to go outside, and generally wait until we go for a walk. I love going on walks, and I walk well on leash!
