And now, a few words from me:

I am a true lab at heart.  When outside I love to sniff and snoop and play tag with other dogs. Once inside I just want to relax, cuddle with my family and be loved. I was rescued from a shelter in Kentucky where I lost some weight and I’m now eating to my heart’s content. I enjoy learning new commands with my foster mom, especially when delicious treats are involved! I can’t wait to find a forever home with a guardian that I will be sure to give all my love to.  I have been having so much fun wrestling and playing with my foster sister Burleigh. I am a quick learner and have already mastered some tricks and fundamental manners.

Sanders is a very friendly and well socialized boy who likes to play with other dogs. His chocolate brown fur is very rich and he has the most unique amber coloured eyes. Sanders is a very calm, loving, cuddly companion.  He recently discovered the fun of toys and chasing balls, responds very well to his training and has begun to gain weight. I think he would be most happy and healthy around 55 lbs. Sanders is doing very well walking on a leash – with lots of praise he will be a star. Sanders would thrive in a home with a fenced yard and an off leash area nearby where he can run and meet other friends to play. If you have the time, and love to devote to this handsome boy, your efforts will be well rewarded by his devotion to you.
