Sammie Sweet Playful and Lovable Terrier Mix Williamstown, NJ

Sammie lost her one front leg in June 2016, She has adapted wonderfully and keeps up with the other dogs.
Dogs can teach us so much. They never whine or complain about their injuries. Sammie is the sweetest pup you will ever want to meet even after having been through this terrible ordeal.
Sammie is about 2-3 years old. She is small/medium in size and is a mix of sweet and lovable. Sammie just loves her foster sisters, and would love another dog in her forever family. She loves to run in the grassy backyard, and she loves to swim.
Sammie is currently in foster care and is well loved by her foster mom.
Her foster mom reports...... Sammie is super lovable and a sweetheart of a pup. She loves affection and rolls over frequently for belly rubs. She gets along well with other mellow dogs who understand her limitations. She doesn't mind cats as long as they give her space. She enjoys being outside in the grass, sunbathing and exploring the yard. She walks very well outside on the pavement and grass and is getting used to the carpet and smooth floors inside.So far we have figured out she can climb up and down cement steps and can do at least one inside step (both up and down) where there is a smooth floor on both levels.
She is scared of thunder and fireworks, but enjoys being wrapped in a blanket to feel safe.
She's awesome in the crate at night and when no one's home during the day.
She is house trained and makes sure to let you know when she needs to go out.
She loves to cuddle in your lap, but needs some help getting onto the chair or couch to join you. She hasn't expressed any interest in toys yet, but that might come with time.
Sammie would be okay with dog savvy children who are gentle, kind and mellow.

WJVA is an all volunteer rescue. We Do Not Have a Facility. Our animals are rescued from crowded shelters and are in foster homes or in our boarding kennel. We depend on donations to be able to save lives of homeless animals.
All dogs are up to date with rabies, distemper, bordatella vaccines. They will be neutered or spayed before adoption and are wormed. Also all dogs are Heartworm/Lymes tested and on HW and Flea prevention. All dogs are also microchipped. We treat all medical issues that any of the dogs may have when we rescue them.
