2-3-12 If you are looking for a spunky ready for anything kind of girl, Samantha is the one for you! She is playful, loves to cuddle, does great on leash & is eager to learn. What her pictures do not convey is that she is a fun loving goofy girl in a compact little body(only knee high if you include her big ears). Not only does she love other dogs, but she is good with cats too! She is house-trained, spayed, heart-worm negative & ready for her new home. Samantha is now in a foster home, and we have this update from her foster mom...She is great with kids, cats & other dogs. It appears that she is house trained. She had 1 accident & that was the first night. When she sees you, she will grin real big & show all of her teeth. I have only seen one other dog do this & it is the cutest thing. She is submissive to other dogs. She is playful, but not overly so & inside will just curl up in a lap & relax. She does good on a leash; no pulling at all :) She is another easy peasy ready to go dog.

This nice girl was picked up as a stray on 12-7-11 in the Little Perry area. She's getting along great with the other dogs in Pen 3, and also likes people. It's hard to tell what her breed mix might be, but she's a very nice dog.

She will be spayed 1/18/12.

Dogs in the Rowan County K-9 Shelter receive their first dhppl vaccination (parvo/distemper) upon arrival at the pound. Rabies vaccine and spay/neuter surgery can be done for the $50 adoption fee. Please note rabies vaccine and surgeries are NOT done on site and dogs must be adopted before they receive rabies vaccine or surgery.
