Sam Pug Alvin, TX

Sam is a sweet 5 year old and I am certain that at one point in his life he was loved but that was a long time ago… We know Sam was microchipped at shelter in November of 2023 and we also know that all medical cases from this shelter come to us so he must have been in a good shape then.

Sadly, that is no longer the case.

Sam is severely starved, missing a ton of fur and of course heartworm positive.

He ducks down and flinches when I reach for him but it’s a jerk knee reaction, once he has a second to process, he wants to be pet.

He is completely potty trained and does his business within seconds of coming outside.

He also goes into the kennel when I point at it, curls up and sleeps through the night.

He won’t jump on the couch but when I pick him up, he immediately curls up to me.

I don’t know what happened, Sam, I don’t know how you ended up in the shelter in the first place but I do know whoever took you out of there failed you miserably.

And I also know that we will fix everything, we will not stop until your fur is shiny, good memories push out the bad and heartworms are defeated.
