Sally is happy playing with her furry friends or going for a long walk around a quiet neighborhood. This social dog adores the dog park, then coming home to splay out on the hardwood floor (while flirting with a snooze, of course).

Sally is always up for an adventure and loves exploring her surroundings with curiosity and gentleness. At home, Sally really knows how to unwind. After a day of play, she enjoys a good chew on her toys or watching you cook -- hoping for a tasty morsel to come her way! When it's time for bed, Sally is settles into her crate, where she snores lightly and peacefully through the night, until her human is ready to get up and go.

Smartie Sally has figured out that outdoors is the place to go potty, and also knows the word "sit." When her fosters leave the house for short spells she is well behaved when left outside the crate. She just waits by the door, all splayed out.

City Dogs & City Kitties Rescue is a foster-based rescue in Washington, DC. We do not have a shelter. CDCK has a thorough adoption process to find the best possible fit for each of our dogs and cats (we do not operate under a first-come, first-served model).

Upon accepting a new cat or dog into the organization, we provide a basic vet visit that includes necessary vaccinations, disease screenings, deworming, microchips, and spay/neuter for dogs six months and older. We do not provide a comprehensive medical exam before adoption. As a result, sickness, injury, and disability may exist unbeknownst to CDCK. City Dogs & City Kitties Rescue is not responsible for payment of any vet care, including known and unknown medical conditions once a cat or dog is adopted from us.
Dog specific: Rabies, DHPP, Lepto and Bordetella vaccines. They are tested for HW, Lyme, Ehrlichia, Anaplasmosis.
Most cats and dogs will have a house-training accident in the initial days in their new home and we cannot guarantee any pet is housebroken or crate trained.
