Salem is a beautiful brindle puppy with the softest face. She has been recently rescued from a rural shelter and we are still getting to know her. Like all puppies, she is curious and a bit mischievous, and is also sweet and playful. She loves to play with other dogs, so she is hoping that her forever family will have at least one playful doggie sibling for her. Salem is currently fostered with 2 dogs, one of whom is willing to play and one who is not. She gets along with both of them.
Salem would like you to know that she is not hyper and has a very nice off switch after playing. After running around and playing bitey face for a bit she settles in for a nice nap.
Salem is very friendly and wants to say hi to everyone on walks.
Salem is afraid of the vacuum cleaner, but isn’t bothered by fireworks or thunder. She is still growing and is already 52# at around 6 months. As a growing pup, she has a very healthy appetite and appreciation for treats. Salem should be fed from a slow feeder, otherwise, she inhales her food in seconds and goes after the other dogs’ food.
While she doesn’t really know any commands yet and is still working on her house manners, Salem keeps her crate clean overnight and goes into it willingly if you reward her with a cookie.
Salem loves to chew on things (as many puppies do), so she would appreciate it if you would provide her with a nice variety of appropriate things to chew on.

PRIVATE MEET & GREETS: Submitting an adoption application is required before a private meet & greet will be scheduled. We will complete a pre-screening first to make sure that the dog you are interested in is a good fit for you. That way, we don't unnecessarily waste your time or the foster's time.

Our adoption fee is $300 and includes all age appropriate vaccines, spay or neuter and microchipping. All of our rescue dogs are heart worm tested annually beginning at 9 months of age, and they are kept on monthly heart worm and flea preventatives.

The breed and age included in this listing is based upon the opinion of a vet that has examined the dog. We cannot confirm the age of the dog unless the dog was born in the care of the rescue.

We are located in the metro Atlanta area. We currently do not allow out of state adoptions as a home check is required as part of the adoption process.
