Meet Saint

Update: Our Beloved Saint has tested positive for Heart Worms. The Shelter will pay all expenses to get him better so currently he is out in Medical Foster and not physically at the Shelter. He is still available for adoption. Every once in awhile we get in a fantastic dog that somehow manages to fly under the radar. They are good looking, smart, nice and a whole lot of fun. And yet they don't seem to attract a lot of notice. Could it be the curse of the nice dog? We see it so often. A family comes in and describes their perfect dog and we say oh you need to meet Saint. The family points to a wild child that needs work and say no we want to meet that one. They take a chance on the wild child and the dog is too much. Yet Saint would have been closer to perfect for them. That is the nice dog curse. If you are looking for a well behaved, nice - yes we said it - nice dog then you won't find a nicer one than Saint. Trust us on this. We know how amazing he is and if we could we would take Saint home in a hot minute. Come meet him for yourself...

Adopt from MCAS

All of our dogs and cats are spayed/neutered, dogs are heartworm tested (and treated if positive), microchipped (cats are microchipped upon request) and all are current on their first round of vaccinations and rabies vaccine.

We are open 7 days a week 12pm to 5pm no appointment necessary

Adoption Center: 931-375-1402

Dog adoption includes:
• Spay/neuter
• Microchipped
• Vaccinations for rabies, distemper, parvo, and bordetella
• Deworming treatment for hookworms and roundworms
• Heartworm tested
• Collar
• Leash

NOTE: Saint has tested positive for Heartworms. He will be able to go home as a foster so the shelter can take care of his treatment at no cost to the adopter. Treatment essentially consists of a series of injections to slow kill the Heartworms. He will need to stay on leash only restriction while going through treatment. After his treatment he will go on a monthly preventative (all dogs should be on one) where his life expectancy is similar to a dog that has not had heartworms. He will live a normal life and his adoption can be finalized
