Sailor Australian Cattle Dog / Blue Heeler & Akita Mix West Falls, NY

Sailor is a 2 year old Australian Cattle Dog mix (possibly Akita!) weighing around 50lbs. He recently came to us from a shelter in New Jersey. They picked him up as a stray running down the highway jumping over the medians to avoid capture!

Sailor has been good with both male and female dogs, and is on the neutral side but likes to play when he gets comfortable. He’s young and has a high energy so he can get a bit overstimulated at times and would benefit from a calm but confident owner. He is crate trained and potty trained when kept on a consistent routine. He loves walks but needs some work on loose leash walking.

Sailor is looking for a home WITHOUT cats as he is overly interested in playing with and herding them. Due to his size and energy we would not recommend him for a household with young children.
