Sadie German Shepherd Dog & Shar-Pei Mix Philadelphia, PA

Sadie is a 7-year-old, 90-pound improbable mix of German Shepherd and Shar Pei. This is a confirmed and not speculative breed mix. Go figure.

Sadie is not the most attractive dog we have. I get this. This is the dog equivalent of what happens when you cross a supermodel and a rock star. Genetics when only one parent is leggy and gorgeous is sometimes less kind to the offspring and you end up with awkwardness. That's where we are here - tiny head with strange ears on a giant body with a little tail. When she runs, she kind of resembles a velociraptor and she is all awkward angles. I am sure you are reading this and are going to tell me how pretty she is and while I appreciate that and love her for what she is, this dog next to a golden retriever is going to get zero attention. It is an absolute fact that people are shallow and it's why weather forecasters on your news shows are always wearing skin-tight dresses and are not 55-year-old, size 18 women who are doing the actual forecasting.

Sadie is impeccably well-trained and she knows a lot of commands. She is housebroken, walks very nicely on leash, is well-mannered, and she is a charming dog one-on-one. She is full of kisses and does not know a stranger as she loves all people above age 14. This is a fantastic dog for the right home.

Sadie is a very good girl and she deserves a home. Sadie is fine to see dogs out and about so long as they are mellow and don't try to jump on her - she does not want to share her home with another dog, though. She is not good with cats and she would eat them.
