Meet Sable
Sable is a gorgeous young petite female Husky mix. She has been in training at the ranch for 2 weeks and is very smart and trainable. The sanctuary manager took Sable home for the weekend and this is what she had to say:
"Sable is crate trained, mostly potty trained (no accidents if given enough opportunities to go out), dog friendly, active, and fun. She slept all night without a problem in her crate, but was also very good if allowed to sleep in the bedroom. She curls up on the end of the bed or on the floor. She's busy and can get into things, but overall was very good at chewing on her bones and playing with her designated toys. She was good in the home with two large dogs and a small dog and just wanted to play. She is a bit of a rude player with lots of puppy energy, but she took corrections from the other dogs very well (including the 12 pound terrier). Although higher energy, once exercised she will settle down."
Ideal home for Sable is with someone that wants an adventure buddy. She likes the car and rides well clipped in with a seatbelt harness. She would make a great hiking or jogging partner. She may do well at doggie daycare. Although this girl has a lot of Husky qualities, she seems mellower, and quieter, than most. She will still jump up when excited and sometimes mouths your hand when trying to get attention, but calms down easily. After 3 days in a home, she calmed down significantly. Sable is a very nice young lady looking for her adventure partner.
