Rusty Hound Mix New Freedom, PA

Hi everyone, my name is Rusty and I am a handsome 11 year old Hound mix. My story is a very sad one....my owner who I spent my entire life with passed away. I was found lying next to my owner, loyal to the end. I miss him very much and I am now without a home. The kind people at ARI took me in and told me not to worry that they would take great care of me while I waited for a new home. For the first week or so that I was here I was shy and scared but the kind caregivers and volunteers have been patient with me and are showing me lots of love. I am warming up to everyone here and feeling more comfortable. I love going for walks and playing in the yard. When there is a loud squeaky toy I act like a puppy and run like the wind to go after it. I am housetrained and if you ask me to sit, I will - especially if you have a treat in your hand. I am a sweet senior so all I am looking for someone who could give me a new home with a warm bed to lay on and some love. In return I promise to be there for you and to give you lots of love! Everyone at the rescue loves me and they tell me that one day someone special will come and take me home. Please tell everyone you know about me and help me find a forever home.
