Ruger is a good boy that is around 2-3 years old and seems to have had a rough past. This handsome fellow is a chill boy that does well with the other dogs in his foster home. He enjoys exploring the yard and curling up on any available dog bed.

Ruger can be a bit shy at first, but is a love when he has the time to warm up. He does have the ability to jump shorter fences and gates, so making sure he is secure in the yard is key!

Ruger is working on his crate training, but really does not enjoy being crated. When he's out of the crate he is quite the climber and will jump up on the tallest crate to hang out there. In any new environment dogs are likely to take a step back in their potty training, so a structured routine in a new place is key.

Adoption fee is $500.00 + tax (no checks)

Our fosters do the best they can to provide all information about the animal's background and temperament while in foster care in their home. An adopters routine and home environment is likely going to be different than that in their foster home.

Sometimes there is more that comes out about a dog's personality once they have been able to settle in a home and truly become comfortable. There are great articles out there written about the different stages a pet goes through after adoption, discussing transitions that happen at 3 days, 3 weeks, and 3 months. We highly recommend reading about this - it will help you understand the transition your new pet goes through.
