We cannot wrap our head around how this cutie has not found a home yet. This handsome dude is approx 7 mo old and is ready for his new family! He is not only up to date on his vaccines but also neutered! He is potty trained and does great on the leash. He enjoys being outside and playing with everyone! He is very treat motivated and can sit like a king for a yummy snack! Our FAVORITE thing about him is that unbelievable coat! The camera does not even do his gorgeous colors justice! He looks like a painting of all the warm colors of a fall afternoon! He is the bestest boy and is full of love. He is only 30 lbs, so he is a great size! He listens very well and loves to be loved on. He has moxey and a huge tongue-hanging-out-of-the-side-of-his-mouth smile when he’s having fun! Rufus is such a good dog. He is still considered a puppy, so sometimes he uses his teeth to play, but he is PLAYING. He needs a family who will understand dogs and be patient as he learns how to channel his puppy liveliness. Please help us find him a home before he spends his first birthday in the shelter. He is deserving of a sweet and kind family that can show him the love he merits. He should know more than just the shelter walls. He should grow up with morning snuggles, afternoon walks and sleepovers in the play tent.

Please include your veterinarian name, number and the name your current pets are listed under. Also please check your information carefully. All current pets must be up to date on vaccines and spayed/neutered. Dogs must be on heart worm preventative.

Adoption Process: This is not a first come, first serve organization. We will do our best to process applications within 48 business hours of receiving them. The application must be completed in full including first and last name, complete address including city and state, complete veterinarian information (this will be checked and all pets must be neutered or spayed, up to date on all vaccines, and dogs must be current on heartworm prevention) and the name of all current pets in the household. We are 100% volunteers and I will not subject anyone who is giving of themselves and their time to hostile conversations. Please be patient with us. We are not paid for our endless hours and are looking for the BEST home for the babies in our care. We will process your information and an email will be sent to the email you provide on the application.
