Rosie Chihuahua Scituate, MA

Part potato, part chihuahua, this senior lady is a total love.

Rosie is about 10-years-old and loves to go on walks and just hang out with her humans. She is working hard on a diet to help her old lady joints and is currently on prescription food.

Rosie came to us with a urinary tract infection we are treating. We were told that Rosie was not housebroken. We suspect this is in part of the infection, but her new home should be prepared that Rosie may have accidents in the home.

This sweet lady could live with just about anyone. She is friendly with dogs, fine with cats and loves humans of all ages.

Rosie does have a heart murmur but blood work indicates nothing needs to be done at this time. Rosie's new owner should follow up with their vet. She also has luxating patella's, a common thing in chihuahua's.

This little potato girl is an absolute doll. She will make someone looking for a senior companion very happy!

We never know how quickly a pet will be adopted. Open hours are Wednesdays 1:30-6pm and Saturdays 10am-2pm for you to come view our adoptable pets. You can apply for animal at the shelter during our open hours or online by emailing adopt@scituateanimalshelter.org and asking for an application. Adoption fees allow our non-profit to continue to help pets in need.

Meet and greets with animals are scheduled after applications have been processed and we’ve determined you are the best fit. We do not operate on a first come, first served basis.
