Rosetta Miniature Schnauzer Bethel, CT

Super senior fans, this pup is for you! Meet Rosetta, an adorable 15 lb. miniature schnauzer mix who will be celebrating her 16th birthday come January. She was surrendered to us after her owner sadly needed to go into assisted living. While she has been through a lot of changes recently, she's settling in beautifully and is eager to find a new furever family.

Rosetta is a sweet girl who enjoys being alongside her people and in your presence whenever given the opportunity. When she's not busy napping in her many comfy beds, she likes strolling around the yard at her leisure. Rosetta appreciates gentle pets and a slow approach as she is near-sighted and hard of hearing. Her favorite part of the day is mealtimes and she's very gentle when taking treats.

She is very respectful of other pets and would live happily alongside another small senior doggie as long as they don’t knock her off balance. However, Rosetta also wouldn’t mind being your only companion as she likes to follow behind her human, never getting underfoot or rushing ahead. She also previously lived with cats. Rosetta quickly adjusted to her foster family’s schedule and is happy to do her business outside when taken out regularly. She does need assistance with stairs so she doesn’t mind getting carried and also rides great in the car.

Her adoption fee is $400 and Rosetta is vaccinated, microchipped, heartworm negative, and spayed. We also offer a senior-to-senior program so if you're 60 years or older, you can adopt her for just $200. She recently had senior bloodwork done (which looked great) and is scheduled for a dental cleaning soon.
