Meet Roscoe, our energetic and friendly pup who's ready to find his forever family and is a huge hit with our dog team, who are frequently spotted loving on him in the play yard. Roscoe was found as a stray and loves making new dog friends. So far, he's seemed interested in cats, but not aggressive with them.

He's a happy-go-lucky boy who's eager to please, but he hasn't had much training yet, so he's still learning his manners and needs a home with someone who's ready for a playful, energetic dog and has time to spend working with him. With his playful personality and tons of love to give, Roscoe would be a great fit for someone who's ready to help him grow and thrive.

Check out this glowing report from a recent Borrow A Buddy outing: Roscoe was a very good boy on his walk at the Big River Trail and he is obviously a family guy. He behaved well for both my 15 old son and my 10 year old daughter, never yanking, obeying commands, and regularly checking-in with Mom if he was unsure about anything. He picked up on family dynamics quickly and decided his role was to watch out for us, making sure everyone was close by and clearly alerting us to other people and dogs (he was never aggressive towards anyone, human or canine). He enjoyed running with my daughter but when she was getting farther from me than he liked, he blocked her path and made her wait for Mom. He responds well to praise and gives the sweetest gentle nudges with his head to get love.
