Roscoe German Shepherd Dog & Australian Cattle Dog / Blue Heeler Mix Medfield, MA

Roscoe is a handsome 2-year-old German Shepherd/Cattle Dog/Boxer mix (according to the results of his DNA test) who is spending time in a foster home and doing well. He enjoys getting out for walks and hikes and loves playing fetch. He is a very loving dog who adores his people. He is a big (70 lbs.), goofy guy who needs obedience training, so we think he would do best in a home with older kids. He prefers not to spend too much time alone and doesn't like being in a crate, so he would probably do best with someone who works from home or is around a lot. He has adjusted to his foster family's dog, and they play together all the time, but it took time and patience, so he might do best as his new family's only dog.

If a dog is listed on our website, they are still available for adoption, but there may be applications ahead of yours. We typically receive many applications for every dog we post. All adoption meetings are by appointment. Our dog adoption fee for dogs five years old or younger is $350. Every dog we place receives age-appropriate vaccines, is wormed, treated for ticks/fleas, tested for heartworm, microchipped, and spayed/neutered before adoption. With few exceptions, dogs are happiest and well-behaved when they receive daily exercise and ongoing training, so we always prefer to place our dogs with families willing to commit to both.
