This beautiful boy is Rory!

Rory is an approximately 18-month old male Alaskan Malamute mix and weighs around 70 lbs. He was rescued when he was brought into a local vet clinic by his owners, after being hit by a car, and left to be euthanized because he had a broken hip.

His hip was repaired and he has healed, although he may still have a bit of a limp when he is tired. After his hip was healed, he also tested positive for heartworms. He has successfully been treated for that and is cleared by the vet!

This kid is a new dog and ready for his forever home! He has so much love to give, he is affectionate and loving. One of his favorite things to do is cuddle! He is a fairly calm boy, probably low to medium energy. He can be shy at first, but warms up to all quickly.

Rory is good with other dogs and cats. He has done fine with the kids that he has met at adoption outreaches but he does not live in a home with children. He needs a secure stockade-fenced back yard and absolutely needs to be an indoor dog! He has had enough of living out in the elements.

Please keep in mind that this breed will shed and will need weekly brushings and occasional professional grooming.

Rory is crate, house, and leash trained.

He is neutered, current on vaccines, on heartworm preventative, and microchipped. His adoption fee is $225.
