Meet Roo A Timid Soul in Need of a Gentle Hero

Roo is a petite one-year-old, weighing just 25 lbs, who came to us from the streets of Texas. Her brother has already found his forever home, but Roo is still waiting and she needs something very special.
Roo is incredibly timid. She spends most of her day curled up quietly in the same corner of the house, watching the world from a distance. She's not the kind of dog who will run to greet you or jump in your lap not yet. But with time, patience, and a lot of love, we believe she'll begin to trust and bloom.
She's not suited for a busy household. Roo needs a calm, quiet home with just one or two gentle adults. She absolutely requires another friendly, confident dog in the home to help her feel safe and learn the ropes she cannot be an only dog. She's also completely fine with cats.
Potty training is a work in progress, and she's starting to get the hang of the dog door. What she needs most is someone who's willing to go at her pace.

We're urgently looking for a foster or adopter who won't give up on her. Roo doesn't need fixing she needs understanding. If you're someone who believes in second chances and the quiet kind of love, Roo may be the soul you've been meant to help all along.
