Are you looking for a handsome, goofy, young man in your life? Well, look no further. My name is Rome! My foster mom calls me Romeo, and I am looking for my chance at love with my forever family. I am a 1-year-old, Catahoula leopard dog mix weighing 38 lbs, although I could stand to gain a few more pounds. I have the best time playing with my foster siblings and would do great in a house with another young dog to play with. I enjoy playing with all of my toys, and when it is time for a rest I go in my crate and take a good snooze. I am very quiet in my crate, quite frankly I do not make a peep. I enjoy resting in there and saving my energy for playtime! Sometimes I forget to go potty during playtime in the yard, so I have to be sure to get some alone time to take care of my business outside, otherwise, I get too distracted and want to play with my friends. I know to go potty outside and do a great job doing so when I am kept on a good schedule. And not to brag, but I walk great on a leash! My foster mom tells me that I am very handsome, between my brindled coat and big ears, how could anyone resist me?! Could I be the next addition to your family?

If you would like to be considered as a potential adopter for one of our great dogs, please go to our website- www.luckymuttsrescue.org and submit an application. Our application process includes landlord approval and vet checks. Please make sure all of your information is current and accurate, including a valid email address and phone numbers. Inaccuracies and/or incomplete data will delay and/or cancel your application. We strive to process all applications in a timely manner, but with the high volume of applications we are receiving, it is taking anywhere from 1-3 weeks. You may be contacted via email if there are concerns or questions. Once all of your information is reviewed and if your application is approved, you will be notified via email. Submitting an application and receiving an approval does not guarantee you will be adopting the dog you applied for. Once you move to the meet and greet process, you will be contacted by the foster family to further discuss the dog, and answer questions you may have, and if applicable, a meet and greet will be set up at our adoption center. Meet and greets are only set up with approved applicants, and we require all members in the household to be present, as well as any current dogs in the home. Meet and greets take place at our adoption center located in Milwaukee. If you are proceeding with adopting a Lucky Mutt, we will require the dog to have a Martingale collar at the time of adoption, to ensure the dogs safety during the transition to a new home.

Current Adoption Fees Are:
$400+tax for puppies to 3 years old
$350+tax for ages 4-7
$250+tax for ages 8 and up
Bonded pairs vary

The adoption fee covers spay/neuter, up to date age appropriate vaccinations, microchip, general deworming, heartworm test, (if over 6 months) and a certified veterinary inspection. Please be aware, listed dog breeds are based on information provided and cannot be guaranteed. Submitting an application for a particular dog does not guarantee that you will be the applicant chosen, we receive several applications for each dog. Our adopters are picked based on the needs of the dog, and the home we feel with best fit based on your responses to our application, vet information and landlord requirements. Approved applicants not chosen for the dog you applied for, will be in active status for a period of six months. We encourage you to watch Petfinder, Facebook and our website for upcoming dogs.
