Rocket German Shepherd Dog Mix Mechanicsburg, PA

Rocket (previously Lance) and his siblings were found in a bin along a country road in Alabama with their tails tied. Mostly likely, the owner was trying to dock them from home :( Unfortunately, we do believe that they have permanent damage to their tails, however, it does not bother them! They joined our rescue on February 11th and are now in search of their new forever homes!

Rocket is such a sweet boy who is very sociable with people and enjoys the company of other dogs as well as the company of the house cat. He is now 28 lbs and is going to be a big dog. His legs are thick and he is large boned. There is a lot of german shepherd in him and if he is a mix, there isn't much other breed in him.

Rocket has been with us for almost 2 months and he has really made progress on his training! He is crate trained and does very well in his crate. When his foster family leaves, he immediately goes to his crate and waits patiently for his treat. He sleeps in bed with his foster family at night time and will lay on the floor if he gets too warm. Rocket is also house trained and will go to the door when he has to go out. He now walks well on a leash and enjoys his trips out and about in the public. His foster family has taken him to different events and he has done so well meeting strangers!!

According to his foster family, Rocket does so well with their young nieces and nephews. He loves to lounge on the couch and thinks it is even better when he can get snuggles from his humans! He is very smart and a true love!!

Rocket is up to date on distemper/parvo and rabies vaccinations, microchipped, dewormed and current on flea/tick/heartworm prevention. The adoption fee is $450.
