Rocket, a 4-year-old, 35-pound Jack Russell terrier mix, was adopted from the shelter in 2020 when he was a puppy. He knows sit and shake, and he's good with other dogs. His size is perfect for someone who wants to adopt a small indoor companion. If there are children in his new home. they need to know how to act around dogs. Rocket is a wonderful canine companion who needs a second chance. His adoption fee is waived.
Adoption fees are $60, $30 or free. If the pet has been at the shelter more than 30 days, they are free. Check the INTAKE DATE on the adoption card to determine this. If the pet is 4 years of age or older OR if you adopt more than one pet, the fee is $30 for each pet. All others are $60. OKC Animal Welfare is open for adoptions from 12-5:00 Tuesday through Saturday. The shelter is at 2811 S.E. 29th St., phone # 405-297-3100.
The dog/cat adoption fee includes spay or neuter, MICROCHIP, age-appropriate shots and health check. Use pet's ID # when inquiring.
