Who can resist that happy smile? Rob is a 10-12 month old handsome guy. Best guess on breed is Heeler/ Lab. He weighs 40 lbs. He is neutered chipped & UTD on vaccines.
Rob was found hunkered down next to a fence in Union Gap. He was so scared! We were called by the city workers asking for help. He has been in foster for 6 weeks.
Rob is sweet & eager to please but takes a bit to trust people. He prefers women over men. There's no doubt a man has treated him poorly, so he is standoffish with them. He is very loving and affectionate with children and is use to being around them. His foster mom has grandkids. Rob likely was a outside dog but is learning to be in the house & part of a family
He does well with other dogs. Rob loves to play with dogs of all sizes.
He will do best in a home with another dog.
Rob has not been with cats that we know of but we can do a cat intro if needed
He does ok on leash
He is housebroke & uses a doggy door
Rob enjoys toys
He is not particularly food motivated.
An application must be filled out and accepted before a meet can be set up. If accepted, you will hear from us within 72 hours. You will have the opportunity to ask questions before you meet the pet; an adoption may or may not happen at that time.
We do adopt outside the Yakima area IF you are able to come to Yakima to pick up your adopted pet. We do not have a kennel facility; all of our pets are in foster homes. Therefore, meets and adoptions take place at either our office or at a place chosen by the adoption coordinator.
If a pet has 'Adoption Pending' beside its name, an adoption is imminent. Please fill out an application anyway because adoptions don't always go through.
Your application will be kept on file for 30 days in case you find another pet you'd like to apply for.
