She is in the care of her foster family as being in a kennel was not in her best interest. River is a 2 years old, spayed female, lab mix. Her personality is a mixture of sweet and scared. We belive that she may never fully relax as a typical dog would, however she came from extraordinary circumstances and has begun to open up. The dogs from this situation are thriving in their foster homes and are more relaxed in the company of other dogs. If you are interested in meeting her, please visit the shelter during our open hours; Mon, Tues, Wed, Fri 10a-12p & 2p-4p, Thurs 10a-12p & 2p-5:30p, and Saturday 9a-1p. Complete an adoption application online to be pre-approved for adoption. If you do not own your home, bring consent from the property owner to have a dog on the property. As always, if you have another dog in the home, plan to bring them for a meet before you complete the adoption. Adoption fees: 6m and younger $250, 7m-5y $200, 6y-10y $150, 11y and older $100.
