Meet River! She is a sweet and playful 2-year old smart, and affectionate girl. River has a very typical lab personality. Her most favorite thing is a tennis ball and she LOVES to play fetch outside with her people, there is zero chance she won't wear out your arm! River will do best in a home with a fenced in yard so that she can continue her obsession of playing fetch. She is submissive and will roll over to get belly rubs when you pet her. Like most labs, she is social and enjoys people and other dogs. Most of her dog playmates have been larger dogs. She currently lives in a home with 2 older pre-teen children and does very well with them. Smaller children, however, would not be a good fit. River likes to be active with her family. She enjoys walks and being outdoors with people. While Rivers gets along with other dogs in her neighborhood, she prefers to be the only dog in the home. River is crate trained, but it is not necessary to leave her crated when leaving her alone in the home. She currently has free reign of the house and does not get into things or have accidents. River is a very smart dog and knows the commands sit, lay, and place. She is up to date on vaccines and has been spayed.

PRIVATE MEET & GREETS: Submitting an adoption application is required before a private meet & greet will be scheduled. We will complete a pre-screening first to make sure that the dog you are interested in is a good fit for you. That way, we don't unnecessarily waste your time or the foster's time.

Our adoption fee is $300 and includes all age appropriate vaccines, spay or neuter and microchipping. All of our rescue dogs are heart worm tested annually beginning at 9 months of age, and they are kept on monthly heart worm and flea preventatives.

The breed and age included in this listing is based upon the opinion of a vet that has examined the dog. We cannot confirm the age of the dog unless the dog was born in the care of the rescue.

We are located in the metro Atlanta area. We currently do not allow out of state adoptions as a home check is required as part of the adoption process.
