Once a mom always a mom. Ritz is seeking her furever home, can you give an older gal a chance. Imagine living your life hoarded by a stranger that spent little time with you or the 100 plus variety of animals including chickens, livestock and dogs.

You may remember Mom Ritz, she came to us from Bullitt Co Ky with her 4 pups. The 5 had mange and were rescued from a large scale, animal hoarding situation. The Snack Cracker pups have all been adopted after healing and learning love. Now it’s time for Ritz to experience her own loved life, to be spoiled and cherished. Mom received little social exposure in her original home and we think she was most likely a puppy making machine. Hence her aged and haggard look but our vets felt that her teeth belied the guesses. We do know she is a senior, she doesn’t have a mean bone in her body, she will take time time to warm up. She has connected with Director Beth and some of the regular volunteers

Ritz is a bit of a shy gal, 7 to 8? hard lived years, under 30 lbs, clean in her kennel but needs leash work, comfort, care, learning the world is a bigger happier place than she has seen before.

Ritz heads this weekend to spend some time in a more active environment with Fleda and Kenny at Gibbs Groom shop. They will also have a chance to work with her leash training once she is more comfortable. We believe she would do best in a quiet home, young kids energy would be too much, a fully fenced yard and an owner that can take the time to help her acclimate. She is sweet, friendly once comfortable, food motivated and clean in her kennel.
