Rio is a 27 pound young adult who came to us from down on the Rio Grand Valley, TX/Mexico border. According to border agents, Rio had been living in the area on her own. A young woman passed Rio daily on her way to work and started feeding her. Soon, Rio decided to jump right into her car! The woman took Rio to the vet, discovered she was pregnant, and fostered her until Angels in Waiting Rescue could transport her up to NY where she could safely have her puppies. The puppies have been weaned and now Rio is ready to find her forever home. Local adoption only, since Rio will need to be spayed soon. Thank you for choosing to adopt a rescue dog!
