Meet Riley - adopted!
Riley is a distinguished 10-year-old, 70# Great Pyrenees/Beagle mix. Easy-going guy with a heart full of love. Friendly, loving, and gentle. An amazing companion who wants nothing more than to love and be loved. For Riley, true bliss is a loving belly rub on a calm evening hanging with his family (see pic).
After his previous owner, a veteran, was moved to a care facility, Riley came to rescue. He adjusted quickly and has amazing manners in the house. His days are filled with neighborhood strolls, naps on cozy beds and hanging with his foster people. Social with humans and furry friends alike, making him an excellent addition to families with or without kids and kitties. He could be an only dog if his humans are around a lot; he craves company while in the house.
While Riley is chill indoors, he becomes a bit livelier outside, performing perimeter checks around the property or goofing off with his canine siblings. A fenced, spacious yard to monitor is his dream; his happy place is outside. He is well behaved on leash and wants regular exercise to build muscle through walks and play. A quiet neighborhood or rural setting would be ideal. He would be thrilled to keep an eye on critters and other goings-on, true to his guardian roots.
For our classic rock fans: his foster mom says Riley’s theme song is, "All Along the Watchtower," by Jimi Hendrix – the title speaks to his love of surveying his surroundings.

As a foster-based rescue, we do not have a central facility to visit. Meet and greets with specific dogs are arranged once your adoption application (not an inquiry through Petfinder) has been received, processed, and approved. We are located in Minnesota and adopt to an area 400 miles from Minneapolis/St. Paul.
Riley's adoption fee is $250 + MN sales tax. He is neutered, microchipped, heartworm negative and up to date on age-appropriate vaccines.
