Meet Riddle
Calling all Rottie lovers!
Riddle is a 5-year old, magnificent mama bear who was surrendered to the rescue when she was retired from breeding. At her former residence, she was given more freedom to roam the farm than many breeding dogs are afforded, and because of this, Riddle is very well socialized with both people and other animals. In her foster home, Riddle has been living with multiple large dogs, both female and male. She is a lady boss, so in her adoptive home, she would be best suited to another male canine sibling. Riddle is said to be cat friendly, but has not been cat-tested in foster (we can do that at request). She has not shown any prey-drive to the resident chickens in her foster home. Though her foster family is an adult household, she has met several children ages 5-10 when visiting the home and was not at all fazed by them. A home with children 7 and up is recommended due to her large size.
Some of Riddle's favorite things:
1) Doing whatever her people are doing. She likes to be near the action, even if it just means hanging out on the couch or sleeping on the floor while the people are doing people things. Riddle is also learning to rest in crate while her foster parents are at work.
2) Hiking, walking, splashing in water...anything related to outdoor activity. She would be best suited to folks who also enjoy these things. Riddle walks really well on leash for such a large lady, and is also developing good recall when practicing in the yard. She could be described as a medium energy dog.
3) Cuddles. Don't let the mountain mama physique fool you, this girl is a big softie at heart. She has the Rottie "lean in" mastered and a very convincing "adore me" face ready at a moment's notice.
Riddle is spayed and is on heartworm and flea/tick preventatives. She has a clean bill of health and a solid dental report. Now, she is fully ready to find her forever! If Riddle sounds like a good match, please apply at Zoe'sHouseRescue.com
