Rico Shepherd Mix Highland, MD

Meet Rico - a 3 year old, 70lb male German Shepherd mix. He is an affectionate, athletic and smart boy who loves nothing more than to play and run around. When he is out on walks, you can expect him to pull a little on the leash, as he gets a little too excited and wants to say hi to everyone, but calms down in no time with positive reinforcement and praise! Rico is very dog selective, and even though he does play well with some of our other dogs at the shelter, we advise that he be the only dog in his forever home. Rico is very friendly and would do best in a home with children 13 years or older due to his size. He's an eager learner and already knows commands like "sit" and "stay", Rico would be a wonderful companion for an active family and there is no doubt he will form a strong bond with his owner. You'll receive so much love and joy from Rico that it just cannot be put into words. His enthusiastic tail wags are enough to melt anyone's heart. He needs a family to give him unconditional love and he will give it right back to you.

An application must be filed before meeting any of our dogs or puppies.
He is current on vaccines and has had a wellness exam, heartworm tested, and microchipped.
