Meet Ricky
UPDATE: Ricky has graduated from a 3 week board and train program with Art of the Dog, passing with flying colors! His training comes with a life time commitment and that will be passed on with his new family!
Ricky needs a dedicated longterm foster or forever home starting on 1/30, the day Ricky graduates from his board & train program!
Ricky has been in and out of a local shelter multiple times and was eventually rescued from euthanasia. He spent 4 months with an amazing foster family, and he’s now in a board and train program, graduating on 1/30. He is LOVING his lessons, and we will need a dedicated longterm foster or forever home to continue his training and give Ricky lots of exercise. He has the sweetest soul but he has had a tough life. Ricky has impressed everyone with his resilience and exuberance, despite the many changes and challenges he’s faced in his short time on earth.
Ricky will require a companion who can stay on top of his training and provide Ricky with a secure home with firm boundaries where he can feel safe and secure for the rest of his life! Even though Ricky is an instant friend to almost everyone he meets, he will do best in a home with no kids, as structure is important for Ricky’s ongoing success.
He is ALWAYS smiling, sure make you smile as well. He loves running in Colorado’s open spaces, learning new tricks, getting belly rubs, and working on his commands.
