Rex & Rey came in from a high kill overcrowded shelter in Southern UT where they had been dumped, apparently by a breeder who couldn't sell the last two pups of his (really well bred) litter. They are just drop dead gorgeous representatives of their breed. Perfect in every way physically, well except for the tail bandit got their tails....I know, I know there are lots of you out there that "prefer" the docked tail but I'm a purist and Cattle Dogs are SUPPOSED TO HAVE TAILS! These boys are for sure litter mates and the red one is more dominant and the decision maker. The blue is a follower. They MUST be separated and start bonding with their person asap. If you have been waiting for the perfect ACD (Australian Cattle Dog) pup, here he is! Your choice, red or blue! They are friendly, but unsocialized. They need lovins and rubs and commitment of time. They are now leash broke, but not reliably housebroken. They are very watchy and barky, but take commands to "Quit" well. They are very healthy, muscular and just so, so pretty!! The red is making huge progress in trust and does morning chores on the farm with me daily now. He is going to be a great one! They are pretty even keeled temperament, but the red could be a little sharp.

**When I describe a stock dog as "sharp" I mean confident, quick to react, can be aggressive, doesn't back down. When I describe a stock dog as soft, it means more reserved, less likely to react, rarely thinks of nipping, submissive, etc. Fun fact, that I am continually surprised people don't know ... "Heeler" is a term used to describe the actions of most all "stock" dogs. There is no breed of dog called a Heeler. There are Australian Cattle Dogs, some people refer to as "red" or "blue" heelers.... But almost all stock dogs herd by "heeling" stock.
