Rex Goldendoodle & Aussiedoodle Mix Cedar Rapids, IA

Meet Rex (aka Doodle Bop)! This beautiful boy was found as a stray locally, and sadly his family never came looking for him. Once he came into rescue he was promptly groomed, neutered, and he is now ready to find his happily ever after. He is literally the sweetest and happiest little boy, and it is shocking that he somehow ended up in a shelter!

Rex is guessed to be about 1 year old. He's obviously some type of poodle mix, but we don't know what he's mixed with exactly. He is approximately 40lbs and seems to be a medium sized doodle--definitely smaller than a standard poodle. Like all doodles he requires regular grooming, and his new family should be prepared for his grooming needs.

Rex is very loving and wants to be with his people at all times. Want a little shadow who will follow you into the bathroom and lay by your feet to keep you company? Rex is your boy! Rex also gets along well with other dogs, and enjoys wrestling with his Lab foster brother . He enjoys chewing on toys, and does get a burst of puppy energy when meeting new people, but overall he's a very chill dog for his young age.

So far Rex has never had an accident in the house and seems completely potty trained when taken out regularly. Rex goes into his kennel fine and sleeps there at night, although he would probably prefer to sleep with his people if he had the choice! He walks gently on a leash and does great for grooming.

Rex's one request for his forever family is that they are home some of the day, because he doesn't love to be left alone for long periods. He's gotten used to being kenneled for a 9 hour work day in his foster home, so he *can* do it---he's just a dog who would rather be with his people more often :-) He would be ideal for someone who works from home, or even for someone who would be able to take him to work with them! At minimum he would appreciate someone who comes home over their lunch break.
