Sandy is a 14 year old spayed female Pug Mix. Sandy is a very sweet and easy going girl. She has some vision loss and is a little stiff when she first wakes up. But she is able to hop onto the couch to be with you. She gets along with everyone! Sandy is currently in a foster home.

Volunteers For Animals periodically pulls dogs from other shelters to free up space; this helps avoid euthanizing healthy, adoptable animals. We are able to do this through the generosity of many people such as the originating shelter staff, transporters, foster volunteers and others who help with pulling fees, vet bills and finding good homes once they are here. The adoption process includes an application that is completed by the potential owner. If there are multiple applications on the same animal, the animal will go to the best home for that particular animal - not necessarily the first application. Fees for the rescues animals can range from $100 to $300 per animal which needs to be cash or a check - NO CREDIT CARDS. If you are interested in any of the Rescue dogs, please email us.
