Rena Mixed Breed Brainerd, MN

Rena came to us with her sister Thea, and 3 pups, from the Ponemah reservation. She was pretty banged up, full of quills and ticks, and only 22 #. Not sure what she is a mix of, thinking maybe cattle dog but she resembles a miniature black German Shepherd. She weighs about 38-40# now.
We treated her for her wounds, ticks and we tested her for tick borne diseases but that came up negative and we will test again around Sept - October since it can take 3-6 months to gestate and be active in the body. Aside from that we tested her for Parvo/Giardia/Coccidia and was negative for that. We dewormed her and her sister and they are now clear of them, she is UTD on shots, chipped and will go in for spay between September and October when she comes out of season. She can't be adopted until she is spayed or fully out of season, but can do meet and greet with her.
Rena gets along with all the animals in her foster home, does well with house training and hasn't had any accidents with her routine.
Rena is a quiet girl and is easily startled so a quiet home we are seeking for her. She also tends to be a little bit gender bias preferring women. She is not mean to mention but if she has a choice she favors females.
