Remy is estimated to be around 8 months old and is 33 lbs.

I am posting this perfect puppy before I fall head-over-heels in love with him! Remy is such a darling pup. Have you seen his cute ears—one up and one down? Remy has been in his foster home since 7/15/24 and loves to gaze up at his foster parents with gratitude. You see, Remy was rescued from Henry County Animal Control on his euthanasia (due to space) date. So many volunteers worked hard to save him at You Lucky Dog Rescue and Henry County Animal Shelter Volunteers.

Despite growing up in the shelter since he was 4 months old, Remy already trusts his foster parents to feed him and teach him what they expect. He started to get the hang of house-training on his second day! He does the cutest dance when he is praised for going potty outside. He is a very quick learner, and he is so eager to please. Remy is currently 5-7 pounds underweight, but he is eating nutritious puppy formula kibble. He is expected to grow no larger than 50 pounds when he is full grown.

Remy lives in a foster home that includes his foster mom and dad, college-aged human brother and sister, 4 dogs (males and female), and 2 cats. Remy is still settling in and is curious around all of our dogs while on a leash and does not have free-roam of the house. Remi has met the cats in his foster home with no problems. He is not aggressive at all with cats, wants to play with them if they are open to it.

Remy is crate-training and has not had accidents in the house! He already understands the routine of chewing a bone on a dog bed while his foster dad works from home. He doesn’t fuss when he is in his crate, although he would definitely prefer to be right by his foster parents’ sides. Remy sleeps in his crate at night or when his foster parents leave the house. Remy is not food aggressive and does not resource guard - he will allow you to take food or toys/bones away from him. He will eat his meals outside of his crate very happily.

Remy is such a fabulous puppy! The shelter staff loved Remy and even taught him “sit”! Remy is already learning that the command “crate” means it is time to go to bed in his crate. Remy is looking for a family who wants to spoil him with love and attention. He is ready to grow up in a family who will treasure him and tell him he is a “good boy” all the time. Remy can’t wait to meet his forever family!

PRIVATE MEET & GREETS: Submitting an adoption application is required before a private meet & greet will be scheduled. We will complete a pre-screening first to make sure that the dog you are interested in is a good fit for you. That way, we don't unnecessarily waste your time or the foster's time.

Our adoption fee is $300 and includes all age appropriate vaccines, spay or neuter and microchipping. All of our rescue dogs are heart worm tested annually beginning at 9 months of age, and they are kept on monthly heart worm and flea preventatives.

The breed and age included in this listing is based upon the opinion of a vet that has examined the dog. We cannot confirm the age of the dog unless the dog was born in the care of the rescue.

We are located in the metro Atlanta area. We currently do not allow out of state adoptions as a home check is required as part of the adoption process.
