Meet Remy
Big baby Remy is looking for home!!
Remy is a 40# Aussie mix who, through no fault of her own, has been returned to PPAWS twice in her almost 1 year of life ? She’s got some big happy Aussie energy and really needs a forever home with another energetic dog or daily opportunities to interact with other dogs so she can zoom and play!
Remy loves other dogs although her enthusiasm is probably too much for dogs under 30lbs. (She currently lives happily with canine foster sibs from 20-90lbs but the smallest one sets and enforces his boundaries.) She isn’t recommended for cats because although she isn’t aggressive toward them, she *really* wants to play with them and most cats don’t like that. She loves people and is very affectionate, but would do best with older kids because she’s still learning not to jump and doesn’t always understand her own size.
Remy is house trained and crate trained. She’s a born athlete who can clear a 3 foot hurdle if motivated, so if she’s outside unsupervised she’ll require a taller containment barrier. She’s good on the leash for a brisk pace. Remy knows basic commands and sleeps on a dog bed at night, she’ll also crate overnight but her first choice would be in bed with her family.
Remy is basically the sweetest girl with big puppy energy and zero aggression. She wants to be the bestest dog but she’s still learning how. She will really thrive with consistent training and is a lock for outdoor adventures like agility work, jogging, or hiking! Can you be Remy’s last and best forever home?
