Remus (American English Coonhound/Foxhound) American Foxhound & Coonhound Mix Chesapeake, VA

Say hi to Remus! He is a 16-month-old American English Coonhound/foxhound mix, and weighs a little over 50lbs.

Besides being so handsome, Remus has a lot of other great qualities. He loves to play fetch, but is still learning to bring the ball back consistently. Remus loves to go on walks and is learning not to pull on the leash. He is crate trained and completely housebroken, even knows to ring a bell to be let outside. He would do well at a home with a large yard so he can run off his energy as he still has some "puppyisms" and loves to do zoomies. Remus knows basic commands such as sit, shake, and stay. He's also very good at politely waiting for his food bowl to be placed down. He has learned to do well on car rides and likes to look out the windows as he travels. If you are looking for a companion who is lovable and eager to please, Remus is your boy. He is super affectionate and loves to be loved on. He will warm your heart and also bring laughter with the crazy things he does like tail chasing.

Remus does well with children and has formed an affectionate bond with the younger child. They are "best buds"! Sometimes he will jump when playing but he is easily corrected. He has also done well with other dogs in the house,

Remus is extremely smart and eager to learn so he has the potential to be a "star" in obedience training! He is treat motivated, which makes training him even easier. Remus just wants to love and be loved. If given the chance, he will be your best friend.
