Remi Akita & Retriever Mix Oklahoma City, OK

Hi there!

My name is Remi but I also answer to Remi Roo or just Roo! I entered rescue at just 9 days old as a bottle baby when my mom passed away. I was bottle fed by my foster mom around the clock until I could eat on my own. I am a 4.5-month old male Akita mix who will weigh around 70-80 lbs. as an adult.

While I am obviously uber handsome, I must say that I’m super smart too. I have mastered the doggy door! Which is super great for me because I love to play outside! I’ve even been running right into my kennel when my foster mom says for my favorite treat: dehydrated chicken!

While I have loved my foster home, my temp momma says it’s time to find my forever home. She said she is going to find me exactly what I want too: a forever home with dog friends and maybe even some kids! I love other dogs and even kitties too! Some other things that I love are “investigating” all the things outside and reporting what I find back to my foster mom.

I love to play chase and wrestle with a doggie playmate and also play with toys from my toy box. My favorite thing to do when I am done playing is get hugs and kisses from my human…oh, and Treats! I love treats! And naps! When I am done playing, I love to curl up and take long naps.

I have been working hard on my house training, but like all puppies, I will need continued structure and timed potty breaks while I finish out my puppy phase. My temp momma says I am doing extremely well with crate training and I will sleep through the night quietly in my crate (with a middle of the night potty break for potty training structure). My foster mom says that puppy training is a time consuming process that requires patience and my perfect home will understand that I need consistency, structure, and training and be able to put that time with me while I am young.

An active family who will take me on walks and adventures is one of my dreams! With continued puppy training, I pinky promise that I will make a great life-long companion.

All dogs are spayed/neutered, current on age appropriate vaccinations, microchipped, dewormed, and current on flea/tick/heartworm prevention. The adoption fee is $225.
