Reina came under our organization with three 8-week-old puppies, and an endearing mother she was. Reina has gained our respect and admiration due to her gentle nature and unconditional acceptance of all living creatures.

We had another female dog who was deathly frightened of thunder. This dog one day ran to the nearest human bed awaiting comfort. Reina came up to the frightened dog and began licking the dog's haunches. Reina had never met this dog before. Reina then snuggled up to the frightened dog, hardly moving, only to offer support and comfort. Yes, one of those Hallmark moments.

Reina has been in foster care with foster mother Sally and Sally's dog Jonah. Reina is not a dog who will come up to strangers, jump in their laps and lick their faces. Reina is timid. It takes time for Reina to break through that initial hesitation, but once she does, she with full loyalty adores that person forever.

Every day we ensure our dogs are fed only the best nutritional diet. Because of this diet our dogs do not need flea prevention, for fleas are diet related. Our dogs are without fail provided heartworm prevention monthly.
