MEET REGGIE

No matter where you take this sweet boy, he’s going to make friends! Reggie is a confident, playful, energetic, super-friendly approximately 1-year-old Beagle/Pointer mix that is ready to take the world by storm! He just needs the right partner to join him on his adventures! Weighing in around 32 lbs, Reggie is a small to medium-sized dog, whose brilliant white coat is broken up by large black splashes of color on his head and back. Reggie’s eyes are always alight with enthusiasm and his happy face is usually in a perpetual grin.

Reggie was found as a stray and taken in by the HSWA when his owner couldn’t be found. Currently Reggie is being crate trained and is up-to-date on all his vaccinations and preventatives. Reggie is adorably sweet and has a happy-go-lucky personality - this boy does not meet a stranger! He absolutely loves everyone and he also loves to run around the yard in abandon, which helps burn off some of that energy that he has in excess. Reggie has shown signs of being very intelligent…he catches on quickly and would be a star pupil in a training class! While we haven’t had the opportunity to test him with other dogs, his easy-going personality should make it easy to introduce him to other canine friends.

Reggie will need a fenced yard if left outside unattended at all, but he is not to be an outside dog only as he likes to be with his people way too much. He has a lot of energy and may not do well in an apartment setting unless there will be lots of outside exercise incorporated into his daily activities. Reggie should make a great family pet and should be fine with children 8 and older, maybe not younger ones that he may accidentally knock over with his enthusiasm. Reggie is crate-trained and is up to date on his vet care, is heartworm negative, is scheduled to be neutered and microchipped soon. He is on heartworm and flea/tick prevention.

If you want a pup with that you can be active with, who is smart and will get along with everyone they meet, then Reggie is definitely your guy!
