Reba the Shiba Shiba Inu Elkhart , IN

We are now accepting applications on Reba the Shiba!

Reba is 26# & estimated at 3 years old. She was trapped by Kira in Goshen & no owners came to claim her.

Reba loves other dogs but she is aloof with people. She needs to be in a home with at least 1 other dog to play with & show her the routine. She likes to run around outside & will need a fenced in yard. Reba has not been cat tested yet but that can be arranged. Older teenage children would be best. She will need slow intros to new people.

Reba will need patient & calm owners who understand it will likely take her a couple weeks to feel comfortable. She is a sweet girl once she trusts you. A quieter household is best as she can get skiddish & jumpy if there's too much activity going on. She is also a door bolter! Reba is housetrained but not currently crate trained. When I am not home she goes into a corral/kennel set up & is totally fine in there. She also sleeps in there great each night. She would probably do well in a larger crate.

Reba's adoption fee is $200. She is fully vetted for 1 year, spayed, microchipped, & on monthly preventatives.

Applications for adoption are at www.trackingintheshadows.com. Please live within 1 hour of Elkhart, IN. Once approved, we will set up a day/time for you to meet Reba. Please be ready to take her home within 1-3 days.
