Ranger is a sweet and affectionate 10-year-old Cocker Spaniel who is looking for his forever home. This loving boy has a heart full of cuddles and wants nothing more than to be held like a baby or to curl up in your lap. Ranger is the perfect companion for anyone seeking a loyal and gentle friend.
Ranger is the perfect dog to bring anywhere with you. Want to get a drink with friends? He’ll join and sit right with you. Want to go for an adventure? He’s ready to get some sniffs in. Want to stay on the couch and watch movies? He will watch you watch a movie. He is ready to do anything, as long as it’s with you.
Ranger gets along wonderfully with other dogs and cats, making him a great fit for a multi-pet household. He absolutely loves his donut-shaped toy and enjoys short play sessions, showing off his surprisingly great fetch skills. When he's hungry, Ranger has an adorable habit of stomping on the edge of his food bowl to get your attention. With his strong nose, he loves to follow scents around the house and yard, and he has a cute habit of digging and nesting in his dog bed to make himself cozy.
Although Ranger is getting older and is a bit hard of hearing, he still listens well and his age doesn’t slow down his love for life and companionship. One thing to watch out for is that Ranger should not be left unsupervised with backyard chickens, but with supervision and re-direction, he behaves well around them. Ranger is potty trained, but needs to be let out on a schedule as he will not inform you that he needs to go out. Letting him out a few times a day prevents any accidents inside.
Ranger’s endearing habits and gentle nature make him a delightful companion. If you’re looking for a loving, sweet, and slightly quirky Cocker Spaniel to join your family, Ranger could be the perfect match! Adopt Ranger and give him the loving home he deserves.

Ranger came to us when his human could no longer care for him.
This handsome boy is super sweet and wants nothing more than to be on your lap on the couch cuddling! But don’t pick him up -he will nip you; he prefers 4 feet on the floor.
He is now house-trained and dog door trained but he really only uses it to come in and not go out (this should come with time).
Ranger loves to ride in the car and go for walks; he’s pretty much up for anything you are. He has good recall but as with any scent type breed he will ignore you if he finds something great to smell. He knows the cues come, sit, stay and shake.
He is good with other dogs, we are unsure of cats. He has never been around children to our knowledge so we’d say no kids under 9.
Be warned Ranger being the cuddler he is will expect to sit on the furniture and read a book or watch some tv.
