Raisinet A0057043985 Terrier Mix Hamilton, OH

This lovely lady is Raisinet and though she is barely more than a baby herself (estimated to be around a year old) she has already been a mother and came into the shelter with her three pups and another female dog. Raisinet's has raised her babies, but now deserves to be spoiled in a home of her own!

When she was assessed for adoption staff found that she was easy to leash and walk. She took treats nicely and responded to the commands sit, lay down, and shake. Raisinet really loved getting her zoomies out by running around the play yard, and is a pro at fetch who would even drop her tennis ball for staff to throw for her again. She also thinks stuffed toys are a lot of fun, but had no issues with staff taking them from her. Raisinet was good for all body handling and loved getting butt scratches. She did well for her vetting and microchipping and staff overall found her to be a very sweet dog who loves attention!

When dog tested with other dogs on leash she met two other dogs and seemed fine walking around next to them, but would give a warning growl when they tried to get in her face. Staff have found that many momma dogs following weaning their pups still have heightened levels of certain hormones that can influence their tolerance for other dogs and would recommend that until Raisinet's hormones level out that she not be around other dogs and do slow introductions with them once her hormones have returned to normal.

Raisinet is current on shots, licensed, and microchipped. All dogs over 6 months have been heartworm tested, and all dogs are treated monthly for fleas/ticks and are on Heartworm prevention (NexGard PLUS). All pets are spayed/neutered prior to a finalized adoption. All our dogs receive a behavior assessment before being placed for adoption to determine initial behaviors towards people and other dogs in the shelter environment. Dog Adoption Fees:
Puppies – 4 months and under: $200
Adult Dogs – 5 months and over: $95
Senior Dogs (7+ years old): $50
