Meet Rainbow Rocket

Rainbow Rocket was found hiding in an abandoned house in the middle of the woods, starving and emaciated. Based on her breed and where she was found (rural eastern Tennessee), we suspect that she was a discarded hunting dog - left for dead once hunting season is over.

Rainbow Rocket is 2.5 years old and weighs 40 lbs She is mellow and well-behaved at home, and gets along nicely with kids and dogs. She loves long walks where she gets to smell all the smells - putting her little hound nose to work makes her happy! She likes to chase cats and would do best in a home without them.

Rainbow Rocket is fostered in NYC and is available for adoption anywhere in the US as long as the adopter is willing/able to travel to NYC to meet her. Please send us an application if you're interested in adopting her: https://bit.ly/rosr-adopt-foster.
