Raiden - IN FOSTER CARE Spaniel & Hound Mix Sparta, WI

UPDATE: Raiden has been in foster care and is doing so great! He's polite with the cat, loves playing with other dogs, and is incredibly friendly and well mannered!

Meet Raiden! Raiden is a 1-2 year old male Mixed Breed (possibly Spaniel, Collie or Hound?) He was found as a stray and was not claimed by his owners, so his background is unknown but his future is bright!

Raiden is an incredibly friendly guy with lots of playful energy. He introduces himself like a bull in a china shop, but he's working very hard on reeling that in so that people aren't overwhelmed by his overzealous happiness! Some of this could obviously be shelter stress filling him with adrenaline, but either way he will be happy to meet basically anyone who comes to him!

Raiden was clearly worked with in the past - he already knows Come, Sit, Down and Shake. He loves to play fetch and loves going for walks! We think he'd also be a good jogging or hiking buddy as he has lots of playful and athletic energy.

Raiden should do well around other pets and children as long as everyone is properly introduced and supervised. His adult owners might want to reinforce manners and proper play with kids as sometimes he doesn't realize how he might knock a little one down. He means no harm, he just doesn't know how to exert his excitement sometimes! (He might do best with kiddos over the age of 8 years) We bet he'd love to have a doggy playmate to run around with!

Raiden seems potty trained as he keeps his kennel clean, but his family should expect to provide a refresher course so that he can learn the new potty schedule. Utilizing a crate during this time would also help.

Raiden is a nice medium sized dog who would be easy to load up and take on adventures - if that's what you're looking for in a new best friend, we know Raiden would love to meet you!
